Band plans and channel plans

The Frequency Allocation Board have exclusive authority to allocate and assign portion of the radio frequency spectrum to the Government, providers of telecommunications services and telecommunication systems, radio and TV broadcasting operations, public and private wireless operators and others. The Band Plans are formulated based on ITU Radio Regulations and best international practices thereby allocating portions of Radio Frequency Spectrum to different services. Subsequently, assignments are made to different users of Radio Frequency Spectrum using specialized Spectrum Management Software tools. The following provides further insight in spectrum assignment activities.
